Performance Of Steel Structure Building — Insulation

Nov 29, 2023

The thermal insulation of steel structure buildings is good, mainly because of the use of insulation materials for roofs and walls.

There are many kinds of insulation materials for steel structure buildings, including PU (polyurethane) sandwich panel, rock wool panel, EPS (polystyrene foam) sandwich panel, glass wool and so on. Here is a brief introduction to these materials:

1.PU (Polyurethane) Sandwich Panel

Polyurethane insulation panel because of its low density, low thermal conductivity, good anti-penetration effect, easy to install and other characteristics and welcomed by users.

2. Rock Wool Panel

The rock wool panel is made of basalt or volcanic rock as raw material, after melting at high temperature, adding adhesive and waterproofing agent, and processed by different processes. Rock wool insulation panel is widely used in the field of building insulation because of its low thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation performance, good sound absorption and sound insulation effect, fire prevention, corrosion prevention and other advantages.

3.EPS (Polystyrene Foam) Sandwich Panel

EPS foam insulation material is widely used in civil buildings because of its good insulation performance, low price, easy to use and other advantages.

4. Glass Wool Panel

Glass wool panel is a thermal insulation material made of glass as raw material by high-temperature melting processing, with excellent thermal insulation, thermal insulation, sound insulation and fire performance. Glass wool panel also has the characteristics of light weight, not easy to mold growth, easy processing, etc., is a relatively high-quality insulation material.

When using thermal insulation materials, it is necessary to fully understand the performance and characteristics of the material, and choose according to actual needs. At the same time, pay attention to the safety, durability and environmental protection of materials and other factors to ensure the quality of construction and service life.
